I have known Marci as a personal friend since 2001, when she was in the middle of her Traditional Chinese Medicine studies and training. I have followed her development as a practitioner over the past 20+ years, not only as a friend and fellow healer, but also as a patient. She has treated me countless times for a variety of concerns.
Marci is a confident and competent acupuncturist. She is articulate about her methodology and the theoretical basis for her analysis. At the same time, I feel I am included as a collaborative partner in her process. When in doubt, she does not hesitate to inform me that she will do the additional research required to confirm her diagnosis and solidify her treatment plan-a forthrightness that I value in any care provider. I appreciate her extensive and varied background in healing modalities which inform and supplement her practice.
When logistics or geographical distance prevented me from seeing Marci, I have sought care from other acupuncturists. The most notable difference I experience is that when I see other practitioners I feel well-treated for my symptoms, but when I see Marci I also feel cared for. While that experience is likely enhanced by our lasting friendship, I know that it is also a universal attribute of her practice. Her demeaner, approach, and personality convey a sense of deep compassion that is exceptional.
