Comprehensive Treatment Using Time-Tested Principles
Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most commonly used forms of medicine in the world. Originating in China more than 2,500 years ago, acupuncture is currently one of the most thoroughly researched, practiced, and respected forms of complementary medicine available anywhere.
What to Expect:
During the initial assessment, a personal medical and family history is reviewed, as well as lifestyle, food and beverage preferences, and the reason why the client is intending to come in for acupuncture. This assessment is thorough and includes reviewing the historical, theoretical, and any aspect of acupuncture that they are wanting to know. This is why a 2-hour time period is provided so the client’s curiosities and/or fears can be minimized. Following the initial assessment, there is an acupuncture treatment.
The Treatment Process:
Within acupuncture sessions, your overall health is enhanced by the quality of the Qi (energy) flow through the natural pathways of your body (meridians). Acupuncture uses a variety of techniques, including placing very thin sterile needles into specific points on the body, to stimulate and improve your Qi flow.
